College Launch &
College Support

Students head to college at a wide range of developmental stages. Some need help with the basics like waking up, getting to class on time, managing laundry, or setting aside time to do class work. Others are ready for advanced support, like clarifying a career path or landing internships. We meet students exactly where they are, offering personalized guidance that grows with them. No two paths look the same, and neither does our approach.

  • Executive function sessions can be focused on academics, finances, self-care, or a mix of all three. The work is highly organized and meant to teach lifelong skills.

“I met with Galit twice a week to keep me accountable and help me stay on top of my long-term commitments. As an overwhelmed, ADHD college student, I kept procrastinating about finding a summer internship, but Galit, in her kind, friendly, and approachable way, helped me to break it down step by step and stay on task. Without her support, I would never have applied to my amazing summer internship.”

“Galit helped me put together a savings plan so I can buy a car. When I want to make an impulse purchase, she talks me through the pros and cons and reminds me I can make my own decisions with the money I earn. When I don’t follow the plan, she doesn’t judge me so I feel I can be honest with her.”

  • Even students who are confident in their major benefit from support as they sketch out a four-year plan and consider which non-major courses they want to explore. For those still unsure of their academic path, it’s important to intentionally sample a variety of disciplines to discover what resonates.

We guide students in making thoughtful choices, including how to research professors, understand course expectations, and find classes that expose them to new ideas while fulfilling graduation requirements.

  • College can be overwhelming. There are so many opportunities for involvement that some students, even those who were highly engaged in high school, can end up doing nothing. We help students identify the activities that will be fulfilling to them, with an eye to showing the kind of leadership, service, and initiative that graduate schools and employers will be looking for.

  • Securing a summer internship can be a part time job, so students really benefit from guidance and accountability.

Research: We help students identify internships that align with their aspirations.

Professional Materials: We help students put together resumes, cover letters, and online profiles that express who they are professionally and personally.

Accountability: We develop a timeline, track opportunities, and stay organized.

Networking Support: We coach students on how to reach out to alumni, attend campus events, and use LinkedIn effectively.

Interview Preparation: Through mock interviews and feedback, we help students confidently and clearly express why and how they are a great match.

  • Career Coaching has three main stages:

Exploration: Identifying strengths & interests through discussion and self-reflection, brainstorming areas of interest, connecting with people in potential careers.
Engagement: Creating a professional narrative in a targeted resume & LinkedIn profile, identifying internships/jobs, developing a professional network.
Execution: Identifying and outreaching to potential employers/programs, composing cover letters & applications, self-advocating in financial negotiations.

  • For students applying for graduate programs, we offer personalized support, guiding students through every stage of graduate test prep, from registration to building a focused study plan and connecting them with targeted resources.

GRE (Graduate Record Examination): Master’s and PhD programs

GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test): Business school

LSAT (Law School Admission Test) : Law school

MCAT (Medical College Admission Test): Medical school

TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) or IELTS (International English Language Testing System): Required if the applicant’s undergraduate instruction wasn’t in English.

  • College coursework can be a big leap because it often comes at a faster pace with higher expectations and less oversight. Students in all disciplines can benefit from personalized support, whether in completing a lab assignment or writing a research paper. Academic tutoring can also help students stay on track and build effective study habits while navigating their newfound independence.
