Emme Pike

DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT & APPLICATIONS
DEVELOPMENT & APPLICATION COACH
ATHLETIC RECRUITING COACH

With her positive energy, deep knowledge, and engaging presence, Emme builds strong connections with students and families, bringing enthusiasm and joy to the college process. Students are drawn to her encouragement and feel both challenged and genuinely supported as they navigate the many decisions ahead. She helps students recognize their strengths, build confidence, and feel excited about what comes next.

At Bates College, where Emme earned a BA in Rhetoric and Spanish, she developed a love for writing, language, and storytelling. While earning her master’s in Social Science from Wesleyan University, her research focused on educational access and equity, which informs her thoughtful, student-centered approach to academic mentorship and college advising. At Wesleyan, she also served as the Graduate Assistant Coach for the Men’s and Women’s Swim and Dive Team for two years, further deepening her work with students in academic and developmental settings.

At Bates, Emme was a varsity swimmer and team captain and an active member of a cappella (shoutout Crosstones!). Her experiences across academics, athletics, and the arts have given her firsthand insight into the many ways students build community and shape their college experiences. She brings that perspective to guide students through the application process and, when relevant, the college athletic recruiting process. When she’s not working with students, Emme can be found listening to live music, watching sports, reading, or trying to keep her Duolingo streak alive.
