Evie Kissinger

ACADEMIC INSTRUCTOR
MUSIC & THEATER APPLICATION ADVISOR

Evie is a Humanities major at Yale University whose creative work spans theater, music, film, and writing. She guides students through the undergraduate theatre major audition process and the BFA program application process, drawing on years of firsthand experience navigating both, then supports students further through academic tutoring.

A lifelong theater artist, Evie has performed in more than fifty productions in New Haven and her hometown of Los Angeles. She directed a Yale Dramat production in 2024 then has continued to develop new work both onstage and behind the scenes throughout her three years at Yale. Her training includes extensive vocal study as well as clown and physical theater at the renowned École Philippe Gaulier in France. Beyond performance, Evie interned at Huron Station Playhouse in Los Angeles, where she read and evaluated submissions for the company's playwriting database. She also co-founded an independent production company, producing a five-episode narrative mini-series that she co-wrote, co-directed, and starred in.

In music, Evie is a singer and songwriter for the indie folk band Clementine, whose debut EP was released earlier this year. She was also selected as an artist for Yale's student-run record label, 1701 Records, and sings — coincidentally! — as Abigail did, in Yale's folk music collective Tangled Up in Blue, founded by Abigail and Katryna’s sister Nerissa.

Across theater, film, music, and writing, Evie is driven by a love of storytelling and the power of performance to bring people together. She is passionate about collaboration, and eager to help high school students find their collegiate homes.
