Freddy Ryle

Freddy is a passionate educator who has worked in admissions at George Washington University and at the US Department of Education. At GWU, Freddy doubled majored in Creative Writing and Sociology with a focus on the relationship between race, class, and identity in diasporic Africans in the United States. He taught numerous English Literature courses in several independent schools, including, but not limited to, “Author Study: James Baldwin,” “Dystopian Literature,” “The Art of the Short Story,” and “Place, Class, and Identity.” As an application coach, Freddy combines his deep understanding of people with his expertise in creative writing to help students craft essays that authentically reflect their identity and values. Outside of the classroom, Freddy can be found crafting his own writing or listening to some jazz!
