Kamran Kara-Pabani

ACADEMIC INSTRUCTOR

Kam brings a strong background in both public service and the private sector to his work as an academic instructor. In addition to his work with students, he volunteers with Sponsors for Educational Opportunity, providing career guidance to students from underserved communities, and with Service2School, supporting veterans through the college application process.

Kam currently works at D. E. Shaw & Co., a hedge fund based in New York. He previously served in the White House as an Advisor to the Chief of Staff and as an analyst on the National Economic Council. Kam is a 2022 graduate of Duke University, where he earned degrees in Computer Science and Political Science.

Outside of his professional work, Kam enjoys playing tennis and squash.
