Kate Seward
DEVELOPMENT & APPLICATION COACH
ACADEMIC INSTRUCTOR
Kate is a poet and media professional who has been putting words on paper since the ripe old age of seven. She has a B.A. from Yale University and has spent years guiding students through college admissions and personal essay writing, helping them find and articulate their own voice on the page.
Kate holds an M.F.A. in creative writing from NYU and spent a decade teaching academic, creative, and business writing at NYU, Stanford University, and the Stanford Graduate School of Business. In 2011, she launched a street style blog and leveraged that into a career in marketing, advertising, and branded content, working as a consultant and then in-house at R/GA and Paramount Brand Studio, with clients including Amazon, Google, PWC, Taco Bell, Anthropologie, Equinox, Palmolive, and Speed Stick GEAR.
She now brings her experience as an educator, corporate professional, and creative to her work with students, helping them map out individualized academic journeys, build passion-driven extracurricular plans, and design bespoke college admissions strategies, while sharpening how they write and think critically. In her free time, you can find her drawing with her four year old or writing her Substack.
