Linford is a full-time educator and mentor dedicated to empowering students to meet and exceed their learning goals. He received his B.A. from Millersville University, close to the rolling hills and small market towns of central Pennsylvania where he grew up. Seeing his gifts, professors and mentors encouraged Linford to continue his education, and he ventured out into the world, earning master’s degrees in history and religion from Northwestern and Yale. Along the way, he studied German and Dutch and lived in Mainz, Berlin, Leiden, Jerusalem, and Tangier.

Linford has a gift for teaching writing and making history and literature come alive. In addition to preparing students for the SSAT and a wide range of AP courses, he also works closely with students to support their overall development and to guide them through the college application process. Students appreciate his kind demeanor and the way he encourages them to take on new challenges.
