Taylor brings both deep academic expertise and genuine care to her work with students. She holds a B.A. with honors in Economics and Nonfiction Writing from Washington University in St. Louis and an M.F.A. in Writing from Columbia University, where she was awarded an Undergraduate Teaching Fellowship. Most recently, she taught English at Saint Ann’s School, where she mentored teen writers as the advisor of the literary magazine and served as a community facilitator.

Students love Taylor. Her approach is both rigorous and compassionate; she knows how to motivate while helping students manage stress and enjoy the process. Parents value Taylor’s investment in their children’s growth as writers, thinkers, and people. Her students consistently say that she helps them see their work, and themselves, from new and empowering perspectives. In her spare time, Taylor enjoys writing essays, studying new languages, and going to the movies.
