Yosef Malka holds a BA, magna cum laude, from Yale University and an MPhil from the University of Cambridge, where he was a Paul Mellon Clare-Yale Fellow. He will begin a JD/PhD program at Yale Law School in August 2026. At Yale, he studied political theory and Jewish history, served on the Hillel Student Board, and edited Shibboleth, the university’s only Jewish studies journal. He has taught political philosophy and civic thought in Citizens, Thinkers, Writers, a program for New Haven high school students, and worked for two years as a Yale College writing tutor.
Yosef has also held internships with U.S. Congressman Lloyd Doggett, the Shalom Hartman Institute, the New York State Attorney General, Dissent, and the Yale Law Journal. He loves working with students from diverse backgrounds to craft rich, compelling narratives—and to learn from their unique interests in turn.
He lives in New York City, where he enjoys listening to live music, cooking, and playing soccer with friends.
